Pointless Move

def a benefit if he makes the team..the knicks have 2 big post players in randolph and curry..they have 2 penetrating guards in crawford and marbury. You add a shooter like allan houston who can knock down that mid range to 3pt shot after the kick out, its always a plus..i think this may be the end of Fred Jones, Nate Robinson, Jerome James, Quentin Richardson in NY. In a brighter note, the knicks traded for my friend, Marist Point Guard Jared Jordan from the clippers..gave up cash considerations for him..knicks added a nice rookie class with wilson chandler, demetrius nichols, and now jared jordan...i think houston will be a nice addition to the knicks roster again

If the guy can come of the bench an knock down some shots then he will be a great addition to the team. He wont be able to play too many minutes...he wasnt a very good defender in his prime so forget now but if he can come in and serve as an outlet for Randolph and/or Curry to kick the ball out to and knock the jumper down then I like the move. But the knicks will need to buy out Jerome James.

Nate will stay and Q will stay, I think Jamal eventually as the season goes on will be the odd man out...This is hoping his value increases and he is traded for true a 2. Jamal is a good player but w/ the Knicks I think he is of more value traded for someone who is more of a natural shooting guard...The Knicks 1 weak spot on their roster is the shooting guard position, they do not have a true 2...Jamal is a 1 and is undersized at the 2 and gets intimidated when facing other 2's such as Kobe or Vince...Houston in his prime was a true 2 but of course injuries got the better of him, I'm thinking he needed the time off for his knees toheal and who knows maybe he will come back as the Houston of old and fill that 2 spot the Knicks haven't had since Spree and Houston were together...The Knicks have a jammed pack roster and Isiah has some decisions coming up in who will fill his roster, hopefully Houston makes it which I'm sure he will...

it might benefit the team, but this move's timing really pisses me off. its amazing how allan houston's knees have magically healed right after his 20 million a year contract expired. this guy stole so much money from the knicks its insane.

I think on a leadership standpoint it's a good move, but I don't think he's going to help that team at all.. He might be able to make a couple of jumpshots and some 3's but that's about it. I think he will be to slow and out of shape. I don't see this as a good move other then a leadership role
