Yes they are...Especially if Dice K and Beckett can pitch well all season. Toronto and Baltimore are both good teams but I think it will be between the 2 beasts of the East. The Yanks and the Massholes.

while i agree with you aj that the sox are the biggest competition for the yankees in the division, to lump toronto in with baltimore is absolutely unfair and wrong. toronto is a much better squad than baltimore, and while i believe neither of them will win the division, toronto at least has a shot if a lot of things go right for them. baltimore has absolutely no chance at the playoffs whatsoever, no matter what.

That is kind of a ridiculus question come on have the red sox have been the yankees only competition since idk how long. First of all the whole divison sucks besides those two sure the baltimore orioles started off good but that will stop and people talk about the toronto blue jays but theyre no good either. And lets not talk about the devil rays they dont deserve to be talked about. So if all the yankee haters want to see the yankees go down this season they better pray the red sox can do it.

Don't be surprised if a team like the Toronto Blue Jays sneaks into the picture. The Sox and Yanks have looked vulnerable week 1 of the season.

The Yankees and the Red Sox are strong teams and organizations, I agree with the other person that Toronto could sneak in there, both the Yankees and Red Sox are vulnerable. I must admit the Devil Rays are no powerhouse, heck with the youngest roster and lowest payroll in the majors who can blame them, but I love it when they beat the Yankees and Red Sox in Florida, to me it is beyond words when that happens. Go D-Rays!
