Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James leads NBA in scoring in the Fourth Quarter
ABOUT THE CAVS . . . We keep hearing that LeBron James is leading the NBA by averaging nearly 10 points a game in the fourth quarter. Who is second? How does that compare to anyone else? Well, James is at 9.6 points in the fourth quarter, and next comes Miami guard Dwyane Wade at 7.5. Washington guard Gilbert Arenas is third at 6.6. James is dominating the fourth quarter like no one else in the NBA. Among the top five heading into this weekend, he's the only one shooting better than 50 percent in the fourth. He's also averaging more rebounds and more assists than anyone in the top five. And there have been games where the Cavs have given him a two- to three-minute break early in the fourth quarter to rest and finish strong. When James had 51 points in the overtime victory at Memphis, the Cavs scored 18 field goals in the fourth period and OT. James either scored or assisted on 14 of the 18 baskets. The Cavs have won nine of 11, and James has grabbed the team and simply pulled it back into the middle of the playoff race. Remember that the NBA has changed the rules so that division winners no longer are promised one of the top four seeds. The Cavs could catch Orlando and grab the third spot while finishing second in the Central Division. No one is saying it, but that could be the Cavs' goal.

Thats just because Kobe has been trying more to get his team involved. If that were the criteria for MVP, hobe has led in that department for the past few years..Lebron has been leading for half a season..Big deal..

Honestly, this is what I've expected out of Lebron for a long time, hope he keeps it up.

Lebrons team is also more athletic and can create more shots for themselves than Kobes team can..as you saw in the Phoenix game..Thelema, lebrons ft and 3 point effenancy has paled in comparison to Kobes for his entire career as well as one on one defense..Anything else?

ft and 3pt's are allready figured into the efficiency Genius. Lebrons efficiency is number one in league with 30.26 & 36.1 for 48 minutes. Kobe is number 8 with 24.97 and 32.65 per48 minutes. Who on cleveland can create shots? Lebron accounts for about half their offense Genius.

Actaully I would say LeBron accounts for a much higher percentage than that Thelema. The Cavs cannot score when LeBron is not on the floor, what-so-ever. When Lebron was hurt the Cavs went 0-6 and only scored about 82 ppg.

Im sorry...Half a year..compared to entire career..I see your bias...Whos hands do you want the ball in with the game on the line with 5 secs left..Kobe or Lebron..Dont lie to yourself...haters..P.S. Gibson can create for himself, Larry Hughes, and sometimes big z in the post..Now name me some lakers..Just odom..Come again..And if you saw the game last night, The lakers cant score when Kobe isnt on the floor..he got his 4th foul, and went out..The 17 piont lead dissappeared..Lets go..And he still says the he is 2nd fiddle to Kobe in the World..Your Idol knows Kobe is better than him..He walks around telling it ti anybody who will Listen..hes a great player, but not in Kobes league..

Its true lebrons leading in the fourth but that because the lakers this season have usually not needed kobe to score alot in the 4th cause they have up...but even the kobe haters have to admit if kobe wanted to he could easily socre 15 points in the 4th quarter but he doesnt need to.....And by the way mr 4th quarter they said is in fact KOBE. But LeBron is a great closer in games just not as good.
