Even if Kobe wins it all this year. I think MJ's legacy will still be #1. He took I swingman who was 3 years younger than him and ten role players to 6 titles. How he did it? Idk, i guess he is just that great. Kobe i think, has slightly more talent this year. Including a big man. Jordan had Rodman towards the end, but the other years, he had, Bill Wennington? Luc Longley?

I agree 500% Mario. MJ had complete garbage on his team. The only good players he had was Pippen,Rodman,Grant,and some could say Kukoc. Kobe has the largest role on his team,but if not for Derek fishers leadership the Lakers would be history right now. Jordan got into the playoffs real quick,got further every year,and then got on top and stayed their for his whole career. Oh yeah,he retired ,came back,and within a year was #1 again. Kobe rode Shaq to 3 finals,and then completely disapeared from any meaningful postseason game for 4 years.

You can even make a case for Steve Kerr but it's pointless. Stick Kobe on that team, he'd be crying for a trade like last year. To this very day MJ could take Bryant's spot and make a run. MJ had a burning hunger that Kobe has yet to unleash and personally, I don't think it's in him. MJ Reigns supreme...

I wouldn't even call Grant good. He was an okay role player. 12-13 ppg. Kukoc, inconsistent. When it came down to it, had his tail between his legs.

Their is no comparrison to kobe in this. MJs reign is much better and he actually won more than 1 title and it is questionable whether Kobe will beat the Celtics

oh my god this has been talked about so many times....yes i do admit jordan will accomplish more then kobe but kobe is a better player...if you look at it now it is alot harder to get MVP's nowadays then back in jordans era...usually jordan basically just had to have a ok record but be the leading scorer and the best player now you have to get your whole team involved and if it was like that to jordan then he would not have won 5...and also Jordan had no talent? dude pippen is one of the 50 greatest players of all-time, rodman was a defensive machine and harper was a very capable guard, and he had good bench players like grant and kukoc, kerr etc.

He said he doesnt like being compared to jordan becasue they were different players...kobe doesnt want to be jordan he wants to be better...and if you didnt watch right after that interview they were discussing kobe as being better then michael talent wise but wont accomplish as much.

How did Nash not deserve it? First, he comes in, the team wins 29 games the previous season. Then the next, they win 62. Then Amare goes down, he makes Diaw look all-world in the post. And they still win 54. Pretty deserving. And Kobe said no such thing, he never once said he wanted to be greater, he said "MJ is the greatest" "HE's him and i'm me"

I didnt get your spin out of Kobes discussion KG, he blatantly said Jordans the best ever. Kobe in no way deservered any of the recent mvp's ,and NAsh and Nowtski would have never one back in the day so there goes your argument out the window. Kobe has half the responsibility that Jordan and even LEbron has so the comparisson of MJ and Kobe is not even justifiable. obviously kobe and jordan must be comparable if MJ himself has been quoted saying Kobe is the next me. I am just saying i have seen bioth play many many times and from what ive seen kobe is a better player and i think he knows it but is just to honest to admit it...but he also knows that he wont accomplish as much as jordan

Only thing that would convince Jordan of this is Kobe beating him in a 7 game series. He is like MJ in that his game is almost a complete replica. When u see Jordan? your too young...u see highlights? a few games? U see a small part of the bigger picture. He led his team to 6 championships,6-0 in a tougher era with better stars . Nash won mvp based mainly on 12 assists a game, Stockton once averaged over 15 and wasnt even really considered. Jordan dominated offense-defense, averaged over 3 steals and 1 block per game. Kobe can play defense,but i cant recall it. u keep kobe more than 15 feet from the hoop and he sucks period. Not that he sucks cause he is one of the best ever,but sucks compared to jordan.
