Some games just have fantasy fireworks written all over them. Such is the case with the week 3 matchup between the
Redskins and
Cardinals. In week 2 Arizona had its way with the Miami and veteran Kurt Warner threw for 361 yards and three touchdowns. He distributed the ball to Larry Fitzgerald (153 yards) and Anquan Boldin (140 yards and 3 TDs). Meanwhile on the east coast, Washington came from behind to take out the
Saints with a surprising 321 yard day from Jason Campbell. Santana Moss had 7 catches, 164 yards and a TD.
So how does it all come to a head in week 3? Arizona has had a joy ride start to the NFL season with games against the
49ers and
Dolphins. The
Redskins have had a much tougher road with games at the
Giants and at home against the
Saints. In week 3, look for these teams to open up the playbook and be prepared for a shootout. Boldin and Fitzgerald are mainstay starters in most fantasy leagues but the key is to look for big days from Warner and Moss. Typically the latter two ride the bench unless the matchup is ideal. This is the week to start them. Expect a big time passing attack on both sides of the ball countered by the running games of Edgerrin James and Clinton Portis. However if you have a chance to start rookie RB Tim Hightower, this is the week to do it. He is the main goal line option for the
Cardinals and he should have a chance to make his mark. The Skins gave up 150 plus yards to the duo backfield of Derrick Ward and Brandon Jacobs of the
Giants in week 1. Hightower had 10 carries for the
Cardinals in week 2 showing an increased level of confidence by the
Cardinals' coaching staff in their rookie tailback. Hightower has scored a touchdown in each week this season. Pack your roster with the key players for this high powered offensive showdown and make sure to grab the popcorn.
