Look for these three guys to have big performances against favorable match ups on Sunday.
Julius Jones
Seattle will host St. Louis in week 3. Jones had a great week 2 with 127 yards and a touchdown against San Francisco. The
Seahawks have been devastated by injury at the wide receiver position and must rely much more heavily on their running game. The
Rams have been terrible against the run this season, allowing an average of 154 yards per game. Jones should have a great day against a weak defense.
Chris Johnson
The
Titans will host the
Texans in week 3. Rookie RB Chris Johnson has given the
Titans a consistent rushing attack with explosive speed. Johnson has yet to reach the 20 attempt mark per game but he has been extremely effective with a 5.9 yards per carry average. The
Texans gave up over 150 yards on the ground in week 1, so this is a favorable matchup for Johnson and the
Titans.
Kevin Smith
The
Lions will travel to San Francisco in week 3. Detroit is coming off of a home loss to Green Bay. Down by 21 early the
Lions had to pass heavily to get back in it. Smith was limited to 10 carries and 40 yards. The
49ers are 23rd in the NFL this season against the run. Look for
Lions to mix up the play calling and rely more on the run early in week 3.
