Bengals QB Carson Palmer is fighting soreness in his throwing elbow after sustaining an injury in week 3. Reportedly he is ready to play but he has "developed some carryover soreness" from last week's game. For fantasy owners, this will be a tough call. The
Bengals are facing the
Browns, who have given up an average of 202 yards per game, middle of the road in the NFL. Meanwhile the
Bengals have been rocky offensively. Palmer threw for just 94 and 134 yards respectively in weeks 1 and 2. Against the
Giants in week 3, Palmer had 286 yards and his first TD pass of the season.
So what do you do this weekend?
The elbow pain may force Palmer to throw quick routes to receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh and tight end Ben Utecht however he could be limited throwing deep to Chad Johnson. The
Browns will no doubt force the injured QB to beat them deep and swarm under to prevent the 10 yard slant. In most leagues there are still some decent quarterbacks in free agency.
Damon Huard
The
Chiefs face a weak Bronco secondary and Huard should have good options in TE Tony Gonzalez and WR Dwayne Bowe.
Jason Campbell
The Washington QB has thrown for 5 touchdowns this season. He is very efficient thus far and has avoided mistakes.
J.T. O'Sullivan
The
49ers will play against a New Orleans defense that has given up an average of 258.7 yards per game so far this season.
