In week 3 during a brutal
Steelers vs.
Eagles matchup, star players Ben Roethlisberger, Donovan McNabb, Willie Parker and Brian Westbrook got banged up. Westbrook had to leave the game in the first half with an ankle injury. Earlier this week an MRI revealed no tears or structural damage but he has not been active at practice since the injury. This weekend the
Eagles play at Chicago, and Westbrook is not expected to be back to full speed by Sunday.
So who will fill his shoes? A guy that might be the best free agent pick up of the week.
Correll Buckhalter is only owned in about 50% of fantasy leagues yet he may get the majority of the work on Sunday. Andy Reid will continue to run the ball and punch opponents in the mouth, so give Buckhaler a serious look. He should be a great option to fill in for backs that have byes this week including Kevin Smith (Lions), Joseph Addai (Colts), Ronnie Brown/ Ricky Williams (Dolphins), Laurence Maroney (Patriots), Brandon Jacobs/Derek Ward (Giants), and Julius Jones (Seahawks).
