In overtime of week 6, Tony Romo broke his pinkie finger when he was flushed out of the pocket and then sacked on third down.  Romo is expected to miss 4 weeks.  The Cowboys will start veteran QB Brad Johnson in his place which could impact fantasy players on your team.

The schedule looks like this: Week 7 @ STL, WEEK 8 vs TB, Week 9 @ NYG and Week 10 is a bye.  This weekend the Cowboys should rely on the running game more heavily against the Rams who are 30th in the league versus the run.  

Marion Barber has put up big fantasy numbers this season despite only averaging 18 carries per game.  Barber averages 4 yards per carry, he has 4 rushing touchdowns and 2 receiving touchdowns on the year.  

The big question for the Cowboys is how they will change the playbook with Brad Johnson in the game?  The 40 year old quarterback doesn't have the arm strength that Romo has to strike deep with Terrell Owens and Miles Austin.  However Johnson is an accurate passer and should be able to keep defenses on their toes with quick routes giving the Cowboys core of wide receivers and opportunity for yards after the catch.

The bottom line is that if the Cowboys can effectively throw the ball with Johnson, Barber will continue with huge performances.  Terrell Owens might catch more passes in the coming weeks because of shorter routes.  With an explosive offense, the Cowboys should still have plenty of big play capability with a precision passing game.
