Thursday night football will be without the player formerly known as Chad Johnson.  The Bengals are benching Ocho Cinco in week 12 versus the Steelers, for violating team rules.  No information has been released on the policies broken by Johnson.

What does this mean for fantasy?  Johnson's absence will put more pressure on T.J. Houshmandzadeh by a strong Steelers' defense led by pro bowl safety Troy Polamalu.  RB Cedric Benson might see more passes out of the backfield.  Tight End Reggie Kelly should still be a non-factor in fantasy leagues.  The bottom line, the Steelers defense is tough, with more pressure on Houshmandzadeh, Benson might be the only Bengal to put up big numbers this week.  

One last thought.  The Bengals' defense might be the sleeper pick this week.  Available in over 95% of fantasy leagues, the Bengals defense is grossly underestimated.  The Steelers have a weak offensive line that has given up 32 sacks this season.  The Bengals caused major troubles for Donovan McNabb in week 11.  Projected Fantasy points: 7-9.
