Sometimes you just have to face the facts. In fantasy football, things change from week to week and it is just as important to determine when a player has had his day in the sun as it is to figure out when to start a player who might be entering a hot streak. Willie Parker is one of those guys you might just have to say goodbye to at week 13. This year Parker has dealt with knee issues and shoulder problems. During the third quarter of Thursday's game he left with knee inflammation and didn't return. The
Steelers have relied on backup Mewelde Moore whom has been one of the best free agent pick ups of 2008. In coming weeks look for the younger, healthier and more threatening Moore to get involved in the offense. The
Steelers are pushing for the playoffs and now is the time for them to play to their strengths. Unfortunately that means that Willie Parker could be an minute afterthought to the 2008 fantasy season having just scored 70 points in 11 games.
It's time to drop Parker and scrape the waiver wire for a solid kicker or an additional receiver that has a favorable schedule heading into the fantasy playoff schedule of weeks 14-17.
