At this point it's hurting the Pack. I hate to say it, Favre is one of the best ever. As a franchise you have to look at the situation your in. Can they win a SuperBowl with the players they have including Favre...no. So do you prolong your playoff-less streak to keep Favre in a Packer uniform or do you start moving towards the future by molding Rogers and getting back to the playoffs? Favre needs to go. Listen, SF did it with Montana and won a SuperBowl 2 years after they let him go. No one remembers Joe Cool as a Chief. It's ok Brett you'll always be a Packer. Green Bay and Favre need to move on for everyone's sake.

Who does green bay have that makes half the contibution that brett farve makes.. Nobody, and theres no qb on that team that can play at his level. If they had a good backup then maybe this would be a decent arguement but they done.

i dont think brett favre is hurting the packers last year the packers were on the verge of makin gthe playoffs and without favre they might as well not even had played the year.favre at his age is still considered one of the best quarterbacks.so my opinion is keep him as long as you can

Hes defiantley helping them becuase he is the only good quarterback on the team. hes done alot for them and the franchise, he is the frontman for the packers orginization and even though he is getting older he still has a wide fan base.

I think it is a bit of both. He helps them right now because he is the best qb in NFC North and I dont think Rodgers is the answer for them. But they also have a young team and need a young qb to grow with the team.

The only people that Brett Favre is hurting is the opposing secondary. He is not hurting anybody on this green bay team. If anybody would say the Packers would be better off without brett favre, that's crazy. Aaron Rodgers is his backup, and I think I would rather have Brett Favre when he is a hundred years old as opposed to having aaron rodgers start anytime. I have nothing against Aaron Rodgers, but I mean it's brett favre. The guy with the biggest heart in the history of the nfl. So I definatly think the Packers are helping themselves out by keeping him. And the only reason why this has become an issue is because of him showing dissapointment because they didn't pick up Moss. That is why anything was even said. He only mentioned being traded because he was showing his frustrations because the Packers aren't giving him a supporting cast. This sort of reminds me of what always happened to Marino. Except Brett Favre usually always had help on his team, but the past couple of years he hasn't.

Brett Farve is awsome. U people saying he sucks are pretty darn stupid!! Sorry but u don't know what the heck u are talking about.Brett Farve is deffenently helping the Packers. Aaron Rodgers can't do anything to help the Packers.Brett Farve is a legend. And he has lead the Packers along time and is still one of the best. And Brett Farve wants to win and will try his hardest to improve. And he is a good person to learn from. Starting as many games in a row as he has done and the streak is still going. And he has played extremely good. He is a true warrior !! He even played the next day after his father died. That would be extremely touf to do . And he played awsome!!

Hes helping his team. I mean, sure his #s are great, and he hastn been to the playoffs in3 years. But, he is teachin his team, they can learn alot from him. Its a very young team, so with his exp can go along way. And its not like Packers have anyone worth replacing him right now anyway. So I would keep him and wen he retires, try to get a high draft and get a new QB. Simple as that.

I love brett favre but I mean I think he hurts the packers inevitable rebuilding that needs to be done. The fact is that brett favre is not the future. The longer they keep him the longer its gonna take to develop a crucial part of their offense. Favre is not a teacher, he wants to win. Its hard to let a player like favre go, but it needs to be done

i really believe that brett farve is one of the best qb of all time but it is time to let aaron rogers get a chance he has been sitting long enough any longer and he might start getting rusty and out of shape then there goes another draft pick wasted

hes definately hurting them. hes lost the magical spark he used to have, and hes becoming incapable of leading them to victory. His skills are diminishing and he's only in it now to pass Marino. You watch, as soon as he does hes out.

It's time for Brett Favre to stop holding the Green Bay Packers hostage. Sure theyr'e 2-0 and Favre looks fine now so it's easy to say otherwise but the man is finished as an upper echelon NFL quarterback. He puts his team through absolute hell every off season making them wonder if he'll come back or not, acting like a kid playing all these games with the media. Favre sticking around for this long has made the organization as a whole pay because they couldv'e addressed the quarterback position many times by now over the past couple of years. Not only have we not been able to see what Aaron Rodgers can do, but if Favre hasn't been lingering around stinking it up in the NFL for the past 2 years the Packers could have made a run at guys like Drew Brees, Matt Schaub, and wouldv'e had the opportunity to draft guys like Matt Lienart, Jay Cutler and Brady Quinn. The Packers owe you nothing Brett, give it a rest and retire before you hurt yourself out there.
