I think this is a defiante..david beckham wanting to come to the us to play can leave it open for the international players who want to make some serious money in the US..this will make the league more competitve and more people will watch it..especially globally..beckham gives mls an opportunity to expand globally..

I think the media is going to continue to hype MLS as it has recently with it's David Beckham commercails and it will slowly but surely surpass the NHL by 2010. Although surpassing the NHL isn't axactly accomplishing an amazing feat in popularity.

on the mls you have players such as coby jones, landon donovan, david becham and carlos ruiz. As soon as americans start to follow soccer more they will realize that soccer is better than hockey. i say the chances are big.

Soccer will pas the NHL for many reasons. First of all soccer is the most famous game in the whole world. USA will start getting into soccer and before u know it it will be big here too. Plus the USA team is a really good team. Plus the NHL never gets big it gets small.
