- If the
Patriots and
Colts win this week,
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will become the first quarterbacks in NFL history to defeat all 31 teams. No quarterback in history has ever achieved this feat; kind of strange that these two will likely pull it off on the same day. Conincidence? Brett Favre has the chance to follow up and do it next week, as the
Chiefs are the only team he has never beaten.
- There is a recent posting about a Kobe for Tony Parker/Manu Ginobili. While I doubt anyone feels this would actually happen, at first I was surprised to see so many people denouncing the trade just because Kobe is so highly valued. I thought maybe Parker and Ginobili would be too much to give away for one player. Upon further thought, I considered the Duncan effect. Would Parker or Ginobili be as good without Duncan? As a point guard it is much easier to play with a superstar big, and Ginobili's reckless style, especially on defense, would not be as effective without Duncan's presence underneath..
- The
Rockies have come back to earth for the World Series to find that
Red Sox fans still don't cheer that loud.
- Apparently the
Twins have yet to offer free agent Torii Hunter a contract since the regular season ended. Do you think he's staying in Minnesota or headed elsewhere?
