Greatest NBA team ever assembled?
There is alot of argument that even though the 72 win bulls have the best ever record, they arent the best. What do you all think?

All the kids know is the bulls of the 90s..The showtime lakers with Kareem,Magic, worthy and Byron Scott was the best team ever assembled..They werent a one man team..They were athletic, they all could hit the big shot in the clutch, and they had the NBAs all time leading scorer in Kareem, They had the best decisionmaker and emotional leader in Magic, and one of the best coaches ever in Pat Riley..and they had the most competition on those celtics teams..Some of the best basketball I have ever seen...And all of you people who love Nashs passing skills, Take a look at the original in the video,Magic was the best..Also one of the best defenses too....They Had kurt Rambis, the enforcer and lunchpail player, they could shoot defend, rebound, and were The best fastbreak team ever. They could also play halfcourt ball with the best of them.....

I would have to say the 96-97 Houston Rockets. The team had Drexler, Barkley and Olajuwon. They finished second in the west that year and should of made the finals but weren't able to get their. But just based on talent in one team you had 3 hall of fame players on the same team.

The 90 lakers had so many good players but i think the bulls were better. I mean they had jordan and pippen. They also had other people that could play together .

Did yall know that Magic, as a ROOKIE,played in the NBA finals at center? Kareem got hurt..Magic started at center in that game..Got 42 points 15 rebounds and 9 assists...Thats the man!! My favorite NBA player of all time....Gotta give respect to those celtic teams though..They used to have some battles!! Im not sure, but I believe out of the decade of the 80s, 9 times the lakers or the celtics were playing in the NBA finals..And 8 out of the 10 years, one of those teams won it!! lakers 5, celtics 3...Thats amazing, thats the mark of hall of fame teams...And what player other than magic can make AC green an all star?

best TEAM meaning all around good and chemistry....the showtime lakers.....but i think the bulls would walk all over them just because they have jordan, and an all star caliber player in pippen. also great rebounder and defender in dennis rodman.

To me its really a toss up all of those teams were the best.I will say this though the teams today would give up before halftime,if they palyed in the 80's or 90's.

PHX man mario? U really think jordan, pippen and rodman would beat Kareem, the leading scorer in NBA history, Magic, and Worthy, one of the best finishers in NBA history? Lettme school you..Magic won MVPs in NbA finals without being the leading scorer and without taking the most shots on his team! Jordan would get his, but where else would scoring come from? The lakers would trample the bulls..Remember they beat the bad boy pistons who were a complete team in their prime! Same with Boston! Jordan finally beat detroit after they had gotten older...I know u werent around then, his last yr in college,he won the NCAA title and got MVP turned pro. as a rookie,Got mvp in the finals and won the title..He made the number 9 and no 10 players on the bench weapons..

I say the 2000-02 Lakers.they had a good squad with two superstars and good role players who made big time plays when they needed to.played their roles perfectly.and people keep forgetting that the lakers went to finals again the year after they didnt go to the finals again.lost to the pisotns in five.so i say lakers, though they might be in a close race with the celtics.
