i would go with the player who has won the most...lebron 1 playoff appearance, dwayne wade 3, carmelo 3...wade 1 ring 0 for the other 2...but you are forgetting about a lot of other players, chris bosh...but out of the three mentioned definately wade.

I say Wade because he is an all around player. The Miami Offense runs through him...he scores, he gets to the FT line and he gets his teamates involved. (362 assists this year already) He also is a great defensive player posting ig numbers in steals (96) and Blocks (60). Not only is he the best player from this draft but quite possibly the best player in the NBA.

Without a doubt right now it's Dwayne Wade. The guy basically carried the heat on his back to a NBA Championship against a better Dallas Mavericks team last year and with Shaq only playing in 14 games this year, D Wade has kept the Heat in the playoff hunt. Miami is 25 - 20 in games Wade played and 1 - 6 in games he missed. As for the Cavs, they were 50 - 32 last year and are on pace to win only 47 games this year in a terrible Eastern Conference, so with the same, if not slightly improved team from last years, LeBron has not found a way to take the Cavs to the next level this year in a very weak Eastern Conference. As for Carmelo, he was really on his way this year before the incident at MSG and it's going to take a big second half to make up for the time lost and to prove just how much he's worth to the Denver Nuggets. But hands down, D Wade has proved he can win, he plays hard every night and he's a leader, and for those reasons he's the best of the Big 3.

I would have to say that i like all three players but i believe that wade is the best....even though carmelo is leading the nba in scoring and lebron is a force to be reckoned with wade is the only player in the nba that is in the top 10 in assists, points and steals and he leads all guards in block shots he is the leading fourth quarter scorer and he clinched a nba title when it looked like the heat was going to lose...he is a leader and without wade the heat are lost and with him they stand a chance...wade is a special player and i believe the best ..he is only in his fourth season and already has a nba ring and finals mvp...

If i were to choose a player , theres no doubt in my mind that id take dwane wade. Dwane wade makes it count when it matters most in the 4th quarter. Not taking anything away from james or mello but d wade is the best choice

They are all great. That being said: Carmelo took a 17 win team to the playoffs the next year when he was a rookie. That team had the biggest increase in wins ever. Lebron's team was also a 17 win team the year before. They went nowhere in a weak eastern conference. That is basically 2 teams starting from scratch with a young star. One got it done, one didn't. Carmelo thrives in the clutch, Lebron bites his nails. Lebron is great, but the hype is retarded.

This is a no-brainer....Lebron James. I am not discrediting Anthony or Wayde but look at what James has surrounding him. Gooden, Ilgauskas and a flashy player who can't seem to stay healthy (Hughes) ? Lebron is single-handedly carrying that team, averaging close to a triple double on most nights. I think all 3 players are sensational but Lebron James has been the best player drafted in 2003

this is a tough subject, if i had to choose i d say lebron james, he has the micheal jordan in him, he scores a lot but he takes over his team when it counts, if its makin the extra pass or hit en a jump shot i think u have to go w/ him

I would take Lebron today just like I would have in 2003! All three players have great skill but Lebron makes his teammates better. He took an average team deep into the playoffs last year.

I have to say DWade. I'm personally not a fan of his. I would probably say I like Carmello better, but the nuggets did pretty good with out Carmello. The Heat are totally lost without Dwade. They're a completely different team. Their defense is worse, their offense is horrible. Wade definatly carries that team. I would say Carmello is a better player, but wade is a natural leader, and you don't have that with Anthony. Wade had a mediocre team in Marquette, and he took them very far. Yeah, Carmello did win a national championship, but he had talent on that team. He had Warrick, McNamara, and they had a deep bench. Marquette didn't have any of that. Wade is a proven winner. He is doing what Kobe couldn't do without Shaq. Winning.

I'd pick Carmelo Anthony. He's the leading scorer in the NBA which is a huge accomplishment. That means that out of all the players in the league it is easiest for him to score. He has gained recognition from coaches as well as other players. Even Kobe Bryant said that of all the players in the NBA, Carmelo is the most difficult for him to defend. Carmelo has faced so much adversity this year by being suspended for 15 games, and he has come bcak and is still playing as hard if not harder than he was before the suspension. He was not on the original roster for the All Star game , but due to player injuries he was selected as a replacement, and in my opinion played better than some of the original selections. The Denver Nuggets have picked up Allen Iverson who is also in the top 5 scorers in the NBA, which made many people think that his scoring would slow down, but it hasn't at all. He is still averaging over 30 points a game. He can adapt to any situation. He is an all around player who can make plays in the paint but who can also pull up from the perimeter and be very dangerous. Carmelo has great chemistry with every player on his team. He is very unselfish and does not only score himself but sets his teammates up 2 score. Carmelo will definitely gain more respect after this year.

this is tough to answer just because all of their circumstances are so different, and all are pretty darn excellent. lebron was definitely drafted by the worst of the 3 teams and is gonna take them to the playoffs for the 2nd straight yr, which is impressive, even if the east stinks. The problem with lebron is that it seems like he has leveled off this yr and hasnt improved from last year. it is also unfair to blame lebron's teammates for his lack of success. if kobe had a frontcourt of ilgauskas, varejao and gooden they would win 60 games this yr. they cant find lebron a good backcourt mate because hes a guard/forward who likes to bring the ball up the court. i would probably put melo #3 in this bunch. my knocks on melo are that he has yet to lead his team to more than 1 playoff win a year (losing 4-1 in the 1st round 3 straight yrs), and doesnt really make his teammates better, hes a prolific scorer and grabs a few boards a game, but im not sure he has "it" like lebron or dwade, and im not sure he could coexist with another superstar(ask a.i.), which means the nuggets are bound for perennial mediocrity in the powerhouse western conference. that being said, if the nuggets were in the east theyd be a top 4 team (lets also not forget his girly "hit and run" incident at the garden, when he sucker punched mardy collins and scurried away). dwade has probably improved the most since he came into the league, and it shows in his stats, which have improved pretty significantly every yr in the league, and people dont realize he averages 8 boards and 5 assists a game to go with his 29 points. oh, and he has a title under his belt. when it comes to DWade, you have to acknowledge the 330 pound elephant in the room, a.k.a. Shaq, who seems to be in the NBA finals every year (6 since '94). how much of his success is due to the attention opposing defenses give to shaq? i dont think that question can be answered until shaq retires in a few years, which will coincide with wade hitting his prime. the heat role players and depth are also a lot better than the other 2 clubs discussed, making dwade's job easier. all that being said, the winner and best player to come out of the 2003 draft is...... before i get to that, i just want to say that its unfair that bosh is totally ignored in this conversation, because that kid is solid and also puts up rediculous numbers across the board (he shoots a better 3 pt. % than the other 3 guys). aright, back to the topic at hand. im taking lebron out of all those guys, because from a basketball standpoint id rank him and dwade equal, but lebrons 22 and dwades 25. all things being pretty much equal, ill take the extra 3 years (and seeing the way dwade leaves it all on the court, there is no way his career will be as long as lebrons).

i say d-wade because he is a all around player he can drive score he has the best defence out of all of them by far pluse he can shoot free throws this guy gets to the line 11 times a night more then melo or lebron people say he has a better team but melo has ai and lebron has the 7'3 center and huges wade isnt afraid to take the last shot even arenis said lebron is wade also can carry a team on his back look at this year without his 7 foot cener or others so wade is the truf and thats that

I guess that reading the comments of other people usually gives you an idea of which way to go but it also gives you alot to pick at also. One that I read said that because Carmelo Anthony leads the league in scoring it is easiest for him to score. Well true and also not true. He is talented no doubt, but of the three LeBron James is the best with the littlest help. Dwayne Wade is great also, but he has a supporting cast. And as far as Melo goes, he has the best supporting cast of all and since the Iverson trade things really haven't gotten any better for the Nuggets. I say LeBron again because he is the all around player and those stats cannot be disputed...

the fact that dwade has a ring is not a legitimate reason to flat out say he is the best of the 3. the fact that Dwade has a ring is one persuasive piece of the puzzle, but last time i checked basketball is a team sport. robert horry has won 6 rings, but would you say that he is better than his 1992 draft class mate shaq? of course not, so why would you base an entire argument on the fact that Dwade has 1 ring, ignoring the fact that he was on a good team as well.

im hating to have to say this but besides the ring im going to have to go with wade. He came to miami his rookie season brought them to the 2 or 3 round of the payoffs his second season the confrence finals his third season a ring now in his 4th season they have a great chanceto repeat if they can stay healthy and if shaq carries them while he recovers from his shoulder injury Lebron was overrated when he came in and he is still over rated what has he done to bring clevand anywhere nothing he gets to the playoff and loses he is nothing more then a show carmelo maybe next yr he will have denver contenders with iverson on the team now but he is in my mind a great player with no back up he would be my first choice but i have to give it to wade on the fact his rookie season there was no shaq and he lead miami a good lentgh into the playoffs.

i just watched drnuggets video as to why melo was the best player of the three. while id say that the international basketball info was interesting and overall a good perspective, i just have to say that telling ppl that melo averages "a little less than 10 rebounds a game" is just flat out misleading. the highest melo has ever averaged in a season when it comes to rebounds is 6.1. if that is a little less than 10 a game, than you can say lebron averages a little less than 45 points a game.

Did u see the nba finals last year? he was awesome like he always is he got the finals mvp what do u have to say about that n everything he does not only the scoring but getting his team mates involed n winning the 1 st nba championship for miami.

"Carmelo has faced so much adversity this year by being suspended for 15 games..." Are you crazy pabloakatarzan? There was absolutely NO adversity in this. 'Melo deserved that suspension. Hell, in my opinion, he deserved to be shut down for the season. Fighting is INEXCUSABLE. This is NOT hockey. As for the question at hand, I would have to choose Wade as the best player from the 2003 draft class. Even though I'm a HUGE Kirk Hinrich fan and respect Bosh, LBJ, etc, nobody has shown that killer instinct that D-Wade showed during last year's NBA Finals. I haven't seen a takeover like that since MJ was in his prime. It was a brilliant, awe-striking display of why exactly he's the best of that draft class...thus far.
