Thats a no brainer phelps by far.

I think phelps was more dominant but not by a lot. He was in more events than bolt because there are different strokes in swimming. if there was a 100 where you had to run backwards Bolt would have won it so you cant really take in the number of golds because its unfair.

how can u say phelps by far? Going into bejing, we all knew phelps was going to win at least 6 gold medals.. And there was no surprise when he did win 8.. Everyone knew there was a chance of that.. Swimmers have an opportunity to participate and qualify in more events, but if ur a sprinter u have 3.. 100, 200, 100 relay which bolt will participate in.. Noone in the history of track and field has ever broken or held the world record in both 100 n 200..this guy was not favored to win these races let alone break these world records.. Gay was supposed to win cuz he broke tbd record earlier this year.. And bolt blew gay away .. Can u say the same for phelps? He was favored in every race
