I dont think its age as much as it is a consolodation of good players to few teams. After all the Legends were gone in the late 90's,teams all got their new franchise players,but came to realise that few were really good enough to be franchise types. Finally real teams are being assembled with multiple stars and the Spurs just cannot hang anymore.

To me the Spurs were on the cusp, The legends were gone, leaving teams with holes that the new guys could'nt fill and SA capitalized on it but now, like Thelema said, if you don't have 3 stars you toast because these "Assembled Dynasties" are saturated with talent and SA can't hang, playing with the same old team that brought'em this far...It's the evolution of the game.

No not at all because of age. It was all in their mind. I didnt see any intensity in the Lakers-Spurs series. They didnt want it enough. They weren't hungry enough. I dont think they "minded' losing. Idk why, it seemed like they said, "Eh, we won enough over the last 10 years, lets just give up"

Lakers were just faster,hungrier,more talented, and had the home advantage.Plus the Hornets series probably took alot out of them. I said it at the beginning of the playoffs, Lakers have the easiest path to conference finals. I just did not expect them to beat the Spurs like they did. I wanted New Orleans to play them because i thought NO posed more of a threat to LA. Oh well, Bostons a whole new animal that is unlike anything out in the Western conference, in fact Boston dominated the over-rated West. This finals is gonna be one to remember for years to come.
