Yanks, Mets both roll; Joba earns first win as a starter
Both New York baseball teams won in blowout fashion tonight as the Yanks blanked the Pirates, 10-0 and the Mets crushed the Mariners, 8-2. Joba Chamberlain earned his first victory as a starter, going 6 1/3 scoreless innings, striking out seven. Bobby Abreu led the offensive attack with three hits and 4 RBI, inlcuding a 3 run HR. Derek Jeter chipped in with 3 hits. The Mets scored eight runs over the first three innings tonight and never looked back, pounding Seattle, 8-2.
