May brings New features

We have some cool stuff in the works. We are constantly working on ways to make FreeTheFan.com easier to use and more fun for fans! We like making new tools and having you tell us what you'd like to see.

Soon we will be releasing a blog option on headlines. So when you click on create a headline you will be able to title your topic, and post a blog entry. Now you will be able to create a debate, post your blog rant, and create two sides of opposing viewpoints. We think the blog feature will enable bigger, more in-depth opinions like "Barry Bonds is a Nice Guy" and "Tim Duncan is the most exciting player in the NBA." Ok, you might not agree, but you see where I'm going with this. We will have a notifier on each headline, basically a *blog icon, that enables you to see which headlines have blog entries.

Another feature we are working on is called BUZZ! this Headline. Its basically a way for you to send a particular headline that you think is interesting to someone else on Free The Fan. So if you think your friend Mike should see the "Boston is a better team than the Yankees" headline, then you can buzz it to him. It puts the headline in a BUZZED section on his profile page and notifies him that he has been buzzed when he signs into the site. Now you can send headlines to people you want to have involved in the debate!

Along with the BUZZ feature we are working on a headline email system, that makes it simple for you to email a headline to friends or family that may not be members of Free The Fan. The best part is that we are going to be supporting your yahoo, aol, hotmail, gmail and msn accounts. When you want to email a headline- you can click on the email link on the page, then you can sign in to your email account (we don't save or access any information, so its completely safe to use) then you can add people from your address book and send it off!

These are just a few things we have in the works. If you have some ideas about how to make the site better or some feature you would like to have, then hit the contact button on the site, or you can shoot us an email at freethefan@gmail.com
