Lets be honest, do you guys really thing that Cleveland will beat the Boston Redsox? Or are you just angry that the Yankees will be watching the series from the seats. Boston is going to win this series even though Cleveland is riding the momentum from the win over the Yanks.  [more]

Question...Are you asking if this years team is one of the best teams in history? Or are you asking as a franchise the Pats are in the top 5 teams?  [more]

I think its dumb for Steinbrenner because Torre is such an icon in the city and more importantly his players look up to and respect him. Obviously Joe has proven to be one of the greatest coaches in our era by his accomplishments. Letting that go is insane. I guess a good question is, will he coach somewhere else and what is the price tag to get him there?  [more]

Before the series began I predicted this series to go the distance with Cleveland winning the 5th game. If Wang performs how he did the first game then C.C. can begin the next series instead of ending this one. But if Wangs game is on then Paul Bird and the Indians could be in for a long night.  [more]

I agree with Big Wayne, what if Jones returns and cannot perform anything close to where she was before. Her legacy would be even more in question than it already is. I say leave it up to speculation and take the consequences for what they are.  [more]

Funny video, probably not much help to the cubs though. Maybe the blonde girl who takes her bra off can throw out the first pitch and try and distract the D-Backs during the game...just a thought.  [more]

I must say they Rockies have just continued to get hotter and hotter beyond anything I ever imagined. I thought the Padres would beat them in the one game playoff, which they almost did in the 13th inning, but the mile high team has just kept rolling. Now only 1 game away from sweeping the once hot Phillies, it looks like the Rockies are the team to beat!  [more]

On paper the Yankees should win almost every game in the last decade. All-star after all-star after all-star come to the Yankees when the almighty dollar speaks to them. So yes you are correct when people have always been saying year after year that THIS is the year for the yankees...well because on paper they are the best team, period. But, this will not be the year and I stick to my divisional prediction that the Indians will take them in 5.  [more]

I believe pitching because the best way to predict future events is to go by past events. And as I have said before, good pitching trumps good hitting.  [more]

I just wanted to extend some more insight on this weekends in-state rivalry. K-State is rolling still from their impressive victory over texas this past weekend. Kansas' defense has been just rediculous to say the least. And the offense havent been slacking like in previous years. Over 2 thousand yards in just 4 games while only allowing a little over 2 hundred yards for its opponent. I think that if Kansas' defense can hold the wildcats offense like they have other teams this season then they will be victorious. K-State's defense is giving up almost 400 yards a game. But in the Sunflower Showdown anything can happen! Rock Chalk Jayhawk Go KU  [more]

There is no question that ND is absolutely horrible this year, but they will not lose all of their games. Keep in mind on their schedule they have Navy, Air Force and Duke, ALL of them at home. They may not win 2 games, but they wont be blanked in the win column this year.  [more]

Baseball is America's past time. I say no because I think you do have to allow for human error in sports officiating. Baseball games are extremely long as they are now, especially when you think how grueling a 162 game season is. It would add unnecessary length to games and like Underdog said, the replay may not have shown Barrett stepping on Holliday's foot. So my vote is no, these umps go through a lot of training as it is, there is only the tiniest percentage when they are wrong. Unfortunately, sometimes it is in a crucial moment of a ballgame.  [more]

Perfect example of why there are 162 games in a season. Its all about getting hot at the right time and the Mets fizzled while the Phillies turned it up. Just goes to show nothing is a sure thing, maybe next time the Mets won't get so comfortable at the end.  [more]

I never said Cleveland had better pitching or offense. I know the Yanks swept them during the regular season. Its going to be a battle most definitely, but that home field advantage is huge in any playoff setting. Revenge is all the momentum needed in this series.  [more]

Peavy pitches for the Padres, not the Phillies. Cubs wont make it past the first round, D-Backs will over power them.  [more]

Indians over Yankees in five. Cleveland has both pitching and an offense to produce runs and has the potential to win everything this year. Red Sox over Angels in four because Boston has a better road record and is going to hit full stride after dropping off the second half of this season. Diamondbacks over Cubs in a long five game series. But D-Backs pitching will prevail. Phillies over whomever it is they will be playing. Bring out the broom sticks because this one is going to be a sweep. Get excited about Philly because this momentum isnt stopping anytime soon folks. I see Cleveland and Philly in the WS this year!  [more]

Adrian Peterson will have a better rookie season despite being on a team that will most likely win less than half of their games this season. Peterson will do to the Vikings what LJ did to the Chiefs, and that is add a powerful one-two combo running attack and eventually take over as the main rusher for the Vikes. With that being said, Quinn will have success in the NFL, but it probably won't be immediate. Like AJ said, quarterbacks take more time to learn the team and offenses than do running backs do.  [more]
