I don't think Memphis will be able to beat the aggies. Acie Law will prove to be to much for their gaurds, and he will score about 20 to 25 points. I think it will be a decent game, but A&M will prove to much for the Tigers.

I think that Texas A&M will prove to be too much for Memphis for a number of reasons. The fact that the Aggies are playing the next two rounds in San Antonio has to give them a huge lift considering it will feel like home games. Secondly, i think this game will come down to the weaknesses of Memphis rather than the strengths of the Aggies. Specifically, Memphis played in a terribly weak Conference USA this year and was hardly challenged. They also played very few close games and that will hurt them in tonight's game. If Memphis has any chance of winning, it will be a close game and their lack of experience in these types of situations could be their downfall. While this game may stay close for the first 20-30 minutes, i don't see it coming down to a last second shot. Expect the Aggies to cruise by 8-12 points

The Aggies, in their "backyard" of San Antonio, will expose and send home the "paper" Tigers of Memphis, once and for all. Just as I said in the UCLA/PITT analysis, guard-play and location of the game will, once again, be key factors. Acie Law has to be the best point guard in the country; the guy is able to score, dish off, AND I swear he NEVER misses free throws in the clutch. Outstanding point guard play and leadership usually spells tourney success in the later rounds. Dominique Kirk has also stepped-up for A & M, totaling 37 points in the first two rounds after averaging only 7 ppg in the regular season. Memphis may be without guard Chris Douglas-Roberts, who sprained his knee in the win over Nevada. In that game, Douglas-Roberts had scored 16 points in only 23 minutes before his injury. Even if he plays, ankle injuires are tough on basketball players, and he will be a shell of his normal shelf at best. In his absence, Joey Dorsey and Robert Dozier pitched in to collect 8 and 9 rebounds, respectively, against the Wolf Pack. But the Aggies' Joseph Jones, who has been playing very well of late, will neutralize their presence inside. Memphis may have the nation's longest winning streak, but they haven't beaten a ranked team (other than Kentucky) ALL YEAR! A & M has comparatively played a much more difficult schedule, and won in tough places like Kansas's Allen Field House. Now, after basicallly playing (and winning) a road game against Louisville in Lexington, the Aggies' get the "homecourt" advantage of facing Memphis in San Antonio. The fans will be rowdy, and Law and company will prove to be too much for a generally untested Memphis squad. A & M will roll on to the Elite 8.
