The Best "power Hitter" is clearly ARod right now. If he stays healthy he will blow right past Bonds in 6 seasons

This is a good question. After researching the Top 10 players of the 2007 MLB season in categories of OBP, SLG, and OPS there were some suprise players on the board. When I think of Power Hitter, I think of Slugging Percentage (SLG.) If you do not know SLG is calculated by total bases divided by at bats. Although we think of Barry Bonds as being a power hitter he ranks 6th in SLG this year. One name that wouldn't come to mind is Carlos Pena of the Tampa Ray Devil Rays, who ranks 3rd this year!! The top 2 players so far this year are at #2 Prince Fielder with a SLG % of .620. He has 201 total bases and has had 324 at bats. The top player this year, which I completely agree with is Alex Rodriguez. He is slugging .665 so far in 2007. Alex has 212 Total Bases in 319 at bats. He is having an unbelievable year and he has a great shot at becoming the AL MVP this year.

THATS A HARD QUESTION TO ANSWER. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY WHOEVERS ON THAT PARTICULAR WEEK!! EVERYONE HAS POWER DIFFERENT TIMES. RIGHT NOW RYAN BRAUN WOULD HAVE TO BE IN THE MIX I THINK. HES A BOMB HITTING MACHINE! BUT OF COURSE, YOU CAN'T LEAVE OUT THE OLD GUYS LIKE BONDS AND GRIFFEY. THEY CAN HIT ONE ANY GIVEN DAY!!!!!
