jim valvano is what college basketball is all about. you could just tell how much that guy loved the game, his excitement is really refreshing. i still get goosebumps every time i hear his speech at the ESPY awards shortly before he passed away.

this is why march madness out does every play off tournament in sports because of moments like this...valvanos inspiration, george masons drive, the bird vs magic rivalary, the buzzer beaters, makes the ncaa tournament what it is, and i love it...i still love valvano too...but i just love it all

These are all great moments. One that sticks in my mind is the last second shot by Laetner -- The play epitomizes college basketball. It is as dsteen says why we get goosebumps- anything can happen in the tourney!!!!

My favorite final four moment is when Bryce Drew hit that shot in the first round in 1998, only advanced to Sweet 16 and never made the final 4.
