the only reason i put kobe over wilt is 1 cause hes doing the same thing as wilt did just not the 100 pts but wilt did it as a center when there were no centers taller than him around if he played now he would be a great player but no where near what he did back then. thats why kobe is in front

1. Gotta Be Mike, just for sheer determination and success, he could will his team to win. 2. Larry Bird without a doubt one of the best shooters to ever play the game, and he had an uncanny nack of making the right play when they needed it most. 3. The Doctor! He put the game on the map! People couldn't wait to see the Dr. make a HOUSE CALL!!! 4. Magic, what else needs to be said! 5. Diesel, The Man of Steel, The Big Aristotle, the most dominating player in NBA history. I remember when he first came into the league, people used to say about Shaq, "That's all he can do is just Dunk!", hell when you're 7-1 350 pounds and can run, What else do you want him to do?!!!! 6. A.I. Iverson has gotta be the toughest, most hard to stick point guard in NBA history. He is all of 5-10, 155 pounds soaking wet with Timberlands on, but still drives to the hole with reckless abandon! You gotta love him! 7. Stockton and Malone- you can't name 1 without the other. The most potent 1,2 punch in NBA history! If it wasn't for a guy named Mike, they would have one back to back championships in Utah. 8. Charles Barkley- for a 6-4 250 pound fat dude, Barkley was a Beast on the Boards!! 9. Kevin McHale He had the longest arms of any human being I have ever seen!! But he had about 10,000 post moves that were virtually unstopable! 10. KOBE! Just because he is listed last on this list, doesn't mean he's ranked 10 on my list, just to get that out there! The most complete player in the game today, handles, jumper, dunk on you, lock you down on D, hit the game winning 3 on you with no time on the clock, I mean DAMN!!!

I think u can put Kobe ahead of wilt. Wilt would not have been near as dominate if he played today then when he played. The league was alot smaller and today he would be facing other 7 foot centers. Also the wear and tear of todays game would wear him out so fast. I personally think that he would never even have broke 80 points in a game or have had the high ppg seasons. He would be good but not great. It would be Kobe with all those records not wilt. My top ten is this. 1-MJ maybe Kobe but we have to wait and see cause kobe is still young. 2-Kobe 3-Magic 4-Bird 5-Wilt 6-Lebron I have to wait until he retired also to see 7-Kareem 8-Big O 9-Bill Russel 10-Jerry west

Kobe is the new mj... Hasnt won as many titles, but is game is identical to mikes.. I think Kobes is slightly better because the range on his jumper is better... Mike could shoot 3s when he was hot, kobes 3 is like a free throw...And for the record, I dont think Robert horry should be in the top ten!! I was joking. I was responding to the persons comment before me who was mentioning Bill Russell.. I dont think he should be in there either..U put bill russell in todays game he would get smashed!!! To me when u say top ten players, that has nothing to do with how many titles u won...Russell won 9 or 10 titles with boston, but u put him up against any center today it would be a bloodbath...Tim Duncan.. KG, even Dwight howard would murder him..He may be top 10 in the sixties, but all time...NEVER...

i have to say people are only saying steve nash cause he gets mvps and ast ok for one you can put andre miller on the suns and he will get 12 ast a game i mean if kobe had a team like the suns he would ave around 8 to 9 ast a game i mean come on they say he bog hogs but yet is not a PG and ave more ast a game than some starting point guard now if people say he shoots 40 shots a game thats just stupid he only ave 27 a game and 3 or 4 of those are shots that he take from half court when the clock is winding down or when the shot clock goes down hes not about stats twice this season he had a shot at another 50 he had 48 in one game with 5 min to go they started double and triple teaming so he passed and in the last 5 min of that game he had no shots and 5 ast lakers were down 8 won by 6 thats a great player trust me if they had a better team in LA they would have had the best record!

1. Michael Jordan hands down did everything incredibly. 2.Bill Russell - best defensive player of all time. They didnt count blocks when he played or he'd be untouchable. 3. Magic Johnson would be all time leader in assists but he of course contracted HIV. 4. Larry Bird- No vertical, no speed straight up fundamentals possibly the greatest shooter ever.5. Wilt, yeah he was way taller than everyone but 100 points is 100 points no matter if youre 7 feet or 17 feet. 6. Oscar Robertson - only player to average a triple double in a season. 7. Kobe bryant - 81 points 62 in 4 qtrs. 8. Kareem - i woulda put ol lew up higher but you never got to see him play without a superstar like oscar robertson or magic. No disrespect still all-time leading scorer and that damn hook-shot put fear into us celtics fans for a while in the 80's. 9. Dr. J julius irving- one of the greatest dunkers ever. great scorer would probably be higher if it wasnt for playing in the aba for that time. 10. last but not least Allen Iverson - you may say im crazy but a sub 6 foot player leading a team to the finals and takin game 1 of the series against those kobe-shaq lakers, incredible. and the famous cross over step over on tyron lue in game 1 priceless.

I know its more than 10, but those are the top ever. Out of the players playing today D Wade is by far the best. Hes the most talented and skilled!

I must be having a debate with circus bears! D-Wade cant touch Kobes gymshorts!! Ant to t-willt, Steve Nash is winning, I said that wrong. What I meant was he is not winning a title!!! Got perhaps the most talented roster in the nba and cant win a title 4 squat!!! Some MVP? Nash needs a screen to do everything! Cant create his own shots nor play defense!! He will never be in the class that KOBE is!! And in the words of Forrest Gump, Thats all I have to say about that!

Ok everybody was sayin if Kobe did have a team like the suns. He did when he played for the Lakers when they had Robert Horry, and Shaq, and all those other guys. I'm not gonna say kobe didn't help that team with those championships. He definatly did. But I am gonna say that Shaq won it for them. He was finals Mvp how many times? Shaq has moved on to the Heat and has won a championship. Kobe has stayed and has not done anything but score. He isn't in the top ten in the Nba of all time because that is all he can do is score. If i'm gonna make a top ten I think of the players who were not just great players, but who were also great team players. Kobe is just not a great team player. And I know you're gonna say he makes assists, and yes he does. But when he controls the ball over 70% of the game. He's gonna be able to make some assists. My 5 year old niece could make some passes he does, and look just as good at it.

Kobe leads the team in assists but in ur opinion he cant pass..wow.that makes sense..he would be getting like 8-9 assitsif his team actually made the shots for once. also u say say ur niece could make those passes and look just as good?...hahah good joke.

i cant believe im seeing Kobes name..yall got to be retarded. first you gotta think about what "the best" means it doesnt mean the best scorer, yea kobe can score but how much you think his teamates like playing with him? a great player make his teamates better, kobe gets double and triple teams everynight seems like he learn to pass and get consistent assists everynight. Only reason he got all them rings too is cuz of shaq. Im not gonna do make a list cuz i never got to watch Magic, Bird, Big O or any of them and im pretty sure most of you didnt either. In my oppinion one of the best ever is allen iverson, i mean talent wise he is the best hes 5'10 and makes layups over seven footers and has the second highest payoff scoring mark ever and dont forget about consistently getting 7 assists a night. he controls the tempo of the game when hes playing and is a very underrated passer. And you cant put steve nash in the list either cuz he plays on an allstar team almost everyone can shoot threes or dunk or finish in the lane... how hard could be..pssh i bet guys like steve francis or larry hughes could get double figure assists on that team

Thats how i know all of u are not true sports fans... Everybody looks at Kobe like he is just a scorer. he also is one of the best defensive players in the last 10 years... 4 first team all defensive teams 3 second teams.... also u say he doesent pass enough... Have u seen kwame brown make a shot? What about smush parker? Hes playin with people who dont even belong in the NBA! And still managed to make the playoffs!! Pay attention to stats instead of sportscenter highlights all the time! he does deserve to be mentioned in the top ten...He is the best player of the post Jordan era....Iversons a great player also, but he might be top 20...Not quite...And for the record I did watch magic and bird.. They say kobe won those rings because of shaq.. Magic won because of Kareem, Bird won because of mchale and parish. No player can win by himself.. So why do u expect Kobe to do it? P.S. Shaq couldnt shoot free throws or make clutch shots when LA won those titles....I agree with u on the Nash thing...

What do you think the lakers need to do?, i think they need to get rid of Smuch cuz its clear that Phil likes Farmar more than him and get rid of Mo Evans cuz ive seen him miss the easiest shots all the time and get some role players around kobe. I think they need to run more offense thru luke walton too cuz he makes great decisions and shoots great whenever ive watched him play

Killa, thanks for the props... Mo evans is pure junk, along with smush. They need wholesale changes though. I like farmar too,but I personally think they need a point guard who distributes the ball more(farmars strength is shooting)..Luke is great and makes great decisions, but he can be inconsistent at times.. Did u c at the beginning of game 2 against Pheonix he was posting nash up down low? He missed 2 or 3 layups and stopped trying to post nash up completely..I also like the potential with Bynum. hes shows flashes at times, but he will get better...Turiaf is pure energy..Gotta have a guy like that on ur team...Forgot about Kwame!!
