He should get to play because the Falcons need him? Are you high? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The panthers need Rae Carruth.

Michael Vick should be electrocuted and drowned.

lol...i think he should be allowed to play until he is proven guilty as per the due process in America, but that is the leagues decision..pacman has not pleaded guilty to anything and he is out a year..he has to be suspended for the year at this point if pac man was..sorry mike..take a seat in the stands next to your worthless waste of potential qb brother on the unemployement line

PJ is right on that one..Nowdays especially with athletes and todays celebrity,As soon as u are linked with anything, youre automatically guilty..But the new commissoner is taking a hard line on athletes in the NFL, even if they havent been convicted..So just like pac man and tank, mike vick should sit..Its really messed up wit tank, because he got kicked off the team and after all that hoopla, he wasnt even drunk!! His blood alcohol level was well below the states limit! But we are such a rush to judgement, knee jerk society, he lost his job before the evidence came out..Sometimes im ashamed to be part of todays nonsense.Wish I was born in another era...

I'm actually a little afraid to comment on this because short of drnugget and smuvru this thread is full of utter b.s. Since when do you need to be convicted of a crime in federal court before your employer can discipline you? Once most of you get done flipping burgers and join the real world (read: reality) you'll understand the NFL's and the Falcon's decision on this. But please, if you want to do a fun experiment bury 50 dogs on your property and be federally indicted and see how long Burger Kings keeps your sorry A$$ around.

Sorry bme..He was arrested for drunk driving, but when his test results came back, his blood alcohol level was below the legal limit, but he was let go by the bears already..And by the way, Im a grown man. I dont own a playstation..You are so typical..Making judgements about people you dont even know...Step your game up...Do a little homework...Youre a media follower! as soon as they say breaking news, you believe EVERYTHING they say and make your own assumptions..Reserve your judgement child....And ps..every place of employment Ive been associated with, you couldnt be disciplined off of an assumption...And actually, its ESPN and CNN...No FOX NEWS though...You are in a no spin zone, bme..get it together..

In November 2005, Johnson was arrested at the Excalibur nightclub in Chicago's Cook County for possession of a handgun in his sport utility vehicle. Johnson pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge and was sentenced to 18 months probation and 40 hours of community service.[4] On February 12, 2006, Johnson, while still on probation, was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest after allegedly verbally threatening a police officer. Johnson was leaving Level Nightclub on Chicago's Rush Street when the police officer was ticketing a limousine driver whom Johnson had hired. As Johnson allegedly put up a struggle, he was maced and subdued with the help of other police officers. The charges were eventually dropped.[5]

On December 14, 2006, Lake County police officers searched Johnson's home in Gurnee, Illinois, and allegedly discovered that he possessed six firearms, including two assault rifles. According to police reports, some of the guns were loaded and there were children in the house. [6] Although Johnson was at football practice during the search, his bodyguard William Posey was arrested from his house for alleged possession of marijuana. Johnson was charged with violation to probation and possessing unlicensed weapons. Bears coach Lovie Smith deactivated Johnson for the following game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers based on this incident.[7]

On December 16, 2006, Johnson's best friend and bodyguard William Posey was killed in a shooting at Ice Bar in Chicago's River North neighborhood. Posey was shot after he was allegedly involved in a fight around midnight. Posey was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:30am. Posey's assailant was not apprehended by the police.[8] On December 28, Chicago Police apprehended Michael Selvie, Posey's alleged assailant. Selvie, a "reputed gang member" has been implicated in over 30 other crimes. However, Selvie's defense attorney claims that Selvie does not posses a firearm or any gang affiliations. If found guilty, Selvie will face charges of first degree murder.[9]

On December 22, 2006, Cook County Circuit Judge John J. Moran, Jr. (Skokie courthouse, Second District, Cook County, Illinois) placed Johnson on home confinement, preventing him from driving by himself or leaving the state of Illinois.[10] On February 8, 2007, Johnson entered a guilty plea in Cook County's Courthouse in Skokie for violating his probation.[11]

On March 15, 2007, Johnson was sentenced to a 120 days in prison (Cook County Jail) and fined $2,500 for violating his probation. [12] On February 17, 2007, Johnson's lawyer contested a Lake County Circuit Court to drop Johnson's unlicensed weapons charges. His attorney claimed that since Johnson is a resident of Arizona, he does not have to abide to gun registration laws of Illinois.[

Ha ha. Hey Genius, hows that for homework, "child"? You're out of your league and you're embarassing yourself. It is far less "knee-jerk" to assume he's guilty based on the evidence than to think he's being wrongly harrassed because he's black. And I, for one, don't tie judicial "due process" to the court of public opinion...see OJ Simpson trial for reasons why. Or was that just an example of a black man defying the odds of a K-K-K society out to get him?

Didnt I say arrested for drunk driving? everyone here already knows about the weapons charges child...They kept him through all that...It was the drunk driving arrest that made the bears cut him..And could you plaese comment on some other topics than Vick? Youre a hater! And a rookie! And youre late with all that information..Cmon lil man! Lil point the finger at the black man and hate..Do you just hate black people in general, or just rich and famous ones because they have more than you? Cmon man, get all the hate out....And Kidd23, obviously you dont know that in todays socitey,PUBLIC OPINION IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS DUE PROCESS!! Why do you think your presdient and countless celebrities and stars have lawyers and PR people? Yeah OJ got off,(I dont like him anyway) but did he really?he cant make any more money,no commercials, nothing..Hes been hidden away for years..Since he was found innocent, and in the court of public opinion say hes guilty, hes basically guilty..No one will deal with him because they dont wanna be connected to that murder in any way even though he was found innocent years ago!! Grow up children..Class is in session..

So called genius, please refrain from calling me a child. I am not, in fact I am old enough to have two myself. Quit with the name calling. My point was to show that the bears didn't get rid of him ONLY for the drunk driving. It was a long list of things that led them to it. But i assume again, it was all fabricated to keep the black man down. Do you agree Tank is a criminal?

You're dang right public opinion is just as important as due process, so stop using "due process" as your excuse for why Vick is innocent cuz he's already hanging by his neck in the public, and rightly so. And don't pretend to be an American who beleives in things like "due process" and wish to be born in a better era when you claim public opinion scrutiny is a valid alternative to judicial criminal punishment. Move to Europe. Take Ron Mexico with you.

Yes sir! I agree that tank was a criminal! He did his time and the Bears stood by him while he did his time in jail..And I agree it was a combination of those things that got him kicked off the team. But the drunk driving arrest was bogus! When I first saw it on ESPN I said to myself,he just got out and his stupid azz messed up again! And after the blood alcohol results came back,he wasnt even drunk so I think he should be able to come back to the team.Even on ESPN their headline said,"Bears too hasty in letting Tank go.Breath test negative"..And as far as Kidd23..Love your Michael Jackson joke..I love you cause youre a joke too..So youre telling me in america people have a right to hang you in public before you can have youre day in court? Shoot! might as well not have a court system then!! Just arrest everybody you think might be guilty and lock their azzes up then! You are the one who needs to move! Move to russia!! Join the KGB!! And P.S., I didnt say he was innocent, I dont know.if hes found guilty he shouldnt play football any more and he should face jailtime. But I didnt go to school to be a judge, and I am certainly not GOD almighty so just like I did in the Duke lacrosse case I will shut up and wait for the COMPLETE TRUTH to come out, whatever that is..
