I give cotto the edge in this one. I think Shane is going to falter from the devastating left hook to the body, which will open him up for Cottos power shots. I love Sugar, but Cotto is a real beast who is looking to prove he is the man !

I agree with Big Wayne Cotto will have too much power, he will wear down sugar shane with body shots. Whoa there goes the knees. Cotto in 8.

It's a really hard decision, but Cotto i think will be able to pull the win out.Cotto is goning to work the hell out of Mosleys body and is going to open up his power shots and should put Mosley down for the count...Who knows though it could go the other way Mosley is no slouch....

I knew Cotto would win, never had a doubt in my heart. Power and Speed took over Mosley. BoriPower, never underestimate it.

As a matter a fact I had it a draw, the fight could have gone either way but in the end I'm glad Cotto won though. Prior to the fight I picked Mosley due to his speed but Cotto showed pure heart and power to come through pulling the victory. WOW! what a fight it was! Respect to both fighters for giving us fight fans an exciting fight!

I think Calzaghe proved last week that once again speed is more important than power.

I know Cotto is good. He's probably the best prospect in his weightclass and against anyone else, I'd go with Cotto, hands down. He's not fighting anyone else though, he's fighting Shane Mosley. Mosleys' too fast and he's a heavier puncher than anyone wants to give him credit for. You don't rack up a 75% knockout ratio in 49 fights by being a soft puncher plus Mosleys' been in there with the best of them, in their primes and beat them. Really, Cottos about as fast as Oscar and almost as skillfull (one thing you can't take from Oscar, he was an excellent boxer). He is stronger than Oscar but Mosley has an excellent chin and had no problem out pointing a fast skillfull fighter like Oscar. Mosley also has the advantage of experience, he's not new to this, he's spent the last 5-10 years fighting big fights against top opponents. Cottos' best asset is his power, he does'nt have the awkward size of a Winky Wright wich gave Shane problems and he does'nt have the height and reach advantage of a Vernon Forrest. Shane will probably box, work everthing of the jab and throw punches in bunches and most likely dance his way to a victory...

Very well said Mayhem, in boxing speed kills as we all know by now. As much as I would love for Cotto to win, I just can't see Cotto catching up with Shane Mosley's speed. I predict a UD victory for Mosley unless somehow Cotto traps Mosley into a corner.
