As football fans across the country reach for their collective breaths (following the HUGE SD upset victory) it's time to pick the
Giants/
Cowboys. This game smells of upset as well, in my opinion, based solely on two words: Yoko Romo. Say what you will about the Jessica Simpson situation but there is one thing that no one can debate; Romo HAS to be distracted by his uber-hot girlfriend. Any red-blooded American male would be! Couple this innate distraction with Romo's lack of playoff experience, his coach's 0 playoff wins, and T.O.'s injury status, and you gotta like the
Giants. They are peaking at the perfect time, they appear to be playing relaxed and error-free football, and Eli will be away from NYC, so he won't be haunted by the boo-birds of New Jersey. Jacobs/Bradshaw/Tiki Barber/Dave Maggett, whoever the
Giants throw out there at running back, should be able to move the ball against Dallas. Their secondary is also overrated, so look for Plaxico to break free down the field for a long gain or two. The
Giants should be focused, relaxed, and poised to pull the upset. The
Cowboys looked awful in their last few games, which were meaningless, but that same malaise cost the
Bucs last week against the
Giants. I think NY will win this one, but it will be close, 24-17.
