They are. They have solid veterans which help. But once Shaq gets rollin with the Suns and Bynum gets healthy and the Spurs turn on their 6th gear in the 2nd half of the season, the Pistons reign at the #1 spot won't last long.

Pistons have been good all year, but just recently has Stucky and Amir Johnson been getting playing time. Stuckey is as good of a guard as any out of last years draft ,and the 2years from highschool AMir Johnson is being quickly groomed to be a contributor in the playoffs. After Big Baby lit the Pistons up in their last meeting, the Pistons have been getting Johnson ready to play and he is producing by averaging over 5 blocks per 48 minutes. The Lakers and Suns look very promising, but do not count this Piston team out. They are as deep as it gets and have no significant holes in their armor. I would give them and Boston best chance of making it out of East followed by Cleveland.

I love the fact that my Rockets have jumped up in the power rankings but once the Spurs put it in overdrive...ALOT of teams are going to slip a few spots...and... look for the Suns to slip even with the addition of Shaq Diesel...
