i think this is a good pick up for them this is what they needed

Its a great move. They have a very solid team right now with a good defense and with their revamped OL they could have a solid running game. Now you throw Brett "The greatest QB of all-time" Favre in the mix and they should be in the playoffs. I dont think that all of the pieces are there and they only have a 1 to 3 year window to win the Superbowl with Favre but its worth the shot. And if they dont win the Superbowl it gives the Jets some instant credibility and creates a huge buzz from a marketing standpoint. The Franchise will make money on this deal.

Why do you want to subject yourself to torture like this Brett?

Good pickup for the Jets. They were a team that desparately needed a change at the QB position. There was no future with Pennington, and Clemens will be able to learn and improve with the presence of Favre.

Good moVE,but this doesnt propel them past a wild card birth...

I wouldnt be surprised if they dont even get to 8-8. They have a great O-Line and a great leader and quarterback but Thomas Jones is still sub-par and their defense will be worse than last year. They let Vilma go and then they pick up Favre I dont get it. I think this is just a way to get money for a losing team that needs to cough up some money to the giants for the new stadium.

how do u say Thomas Jones is subpar? he had a solid season for a subpar team. favre will relieve a ton of pressure for Jones with a go to receiver in Coles, who should be motivated and have a great year if he stays healthy. i don't understand the Vilma thing either, but thomas jones at least is underrated if anything
