Yea but Phelps does have competitions in the U.S. we just don't here about them and he probably always wins. I think Phelps is a more dominant athlete. He wins like 95% of his races compared to Tiger who doesnt win that much. We consider Tiger better because we dont see Phelps but Phelps is a more dominant athlete not to disrespect Tiger who is the best golfer ever.

COME ON THIS IS A NO BRAINER. PHELPS IS DOMINANT IN SWIMMING AND TIGER IS DOMINANT IN GOLF. THERE REALLY IS NO WAY TO TELL BECAUSE THE 2 SPORTS ARE SO FAR APART IN THE WAY YOU TRAIN AND COMPETE. PLUS TIGER HAS TO BEAT 100 OR MORE GOLFERS EVERY TIME HE GOES OUT, AND PHELPS JUST HAS TO BEAT 7 EVERY TIME HE SWIMS.

Common sense, lol. Does that include spelling and using the grammar of a 4th grader? At least you corrected this headline, after I pointed out your ignorance. Back to part 3 of comparing Tiger to other athletes that are dominant in totally unrelated sports. Phelps does have an unbeaten streak that is impossible to match in the world of golf. How do we bring in the number of times a world record has been surpassed, by each, into this "apples and oranges" comparison? As for the pull up competition, now we have a valid basis for a discussion/arguement.

He's the most dominant at his sport as is tiger woods you trade uniforms they would not have a clue what they are doing they are the most dominant at their individual sport you can't just say he's the most dominant athlete overall it's like tomlinson is the most dominant football player you put phelps in Lt's uniform he would get killed same with Lt in a speedo LOL phelps is the most dominant swimmer there is one top athlete in every sport not just one top athlete overall.

not to be a wise-ass, everyone makes mistakes, but if we're pointing out the "whose/who is", as we should, i gotta call bchelg out on the basis to his "argument".
anyway, there could be a good discussion about who is the best athlete in the world, maybe no right answer, but what about a guy who is good at everything, or excels at multiple sports, a deion sanders type

Hey Fan, nice catch on my "argument," I'll take that one. I don't call anyone out on the occasional typo or misspelling. He does it on the regular. He constantly tries to disagree with nothing valid to back it up. So yeah, I bust his balls when the frequent opportunities are there.
