The High School Recruiting Process
How to properly prepare for the recruiting process
http://www.SportsHLR.com
We want the student athlete to understand that college sports are a BIG business that earns universities billions of dollars in revenue per year.  This is why colleges and universities give away $1 billion in scholarships every year and $100 billion in financial aid. The college sports industry is a very lucrative business and the benefits can be the students if they promote and market themselves the right way.

When you’re trying to get a coach’s attention, you need to use proven principles to make your target coaches want to get to know you more and put you on their recruiting list.  Coaches don’t recruit players they don’t know, and they definitely want to know that a prospect is interested in their school. It is all about getting noticed and building relationships with your target coaches, over time, so they get to know you, trust you, and recruit you.

Please read some of the feed back we received:

"As an intro, I think most recruiters would like to have it all in one location in electronic form.  If there is legitimate interest I would want to be able study the film and access the athlete’s biography in one location.  I want to be able to run the film back and forth as many times as I need.  If this is possible to do on a website; I would then, with out question rather it in electronic form."

"I think the site you have set up is tremendous.  It markets the Student Athlete perfectly.  It's a great thing for an athlete to have through the recruiting process."

A college coach or a scout is recruiting an athlete, now would that coach or scout prefer you to send them hard copies of information, for example: DVD’s, written biography’s, stats, photos, newspaper articles, you know all the hard copy stuff or would they prefer a personal password protected website showcasing your athletic ability were all that information is at the click of a link and their would be no clutter and filing to be done by an athletic organization.  Now according to scouts and universities that we have surveyed, they would prefer The Highlight Reel approach.

The Highlight Reel is an eye opener for any college or professional coach.  All the information they are looking for would be at the click of a mouse which makes it easier on any coach with their busy schedules.

It would give the athlete a one on one personal relationship with the coach or scout that may be recruiting him or her which may give that athlete the edge over another athlete.

The athlete is also going to have a personal email account, pictures, biography, and any newspaper articles they might have including the highlight reel, which would get rid of mailing DVD’s, Biography’s and any other hardcopy recruiting information that an athlete would present to a college/university or pro organization.

The coach would not have to search for the player they want to recruit, it would be just clicking on a link and the player’s information would come to them.  All eyes would be sorely on that athlete and focused on that athlete’s performance and no one else.

It would make the player a lot more marketable to that college/university or pro organization and this type of presentation would appear a lot more professional and show that recruiter or scout that you are serious about their organization therefore the would take serious consideration on making you a part of that organization.

I agree, when I was going throught the recruiting process everything was up to us. The coaches didn't do anything. I wish we had stuff like this years ago. I heard this company not only does the website for the student, but they actually have the personal relationships with many of the NCAA athletic departments. Is this true? If so, a student athlete would be crazy not to do this. I mean think about it, the student would just sit back and do nothing, everything is provided for them.
