Dodgers have acquired George Sherrill from the Orioles. Sherrill would work as a setup man in front of closer Jonathan Broxton. Sherrill has a 2.40 ERA, 20 saves and a 39/13 K/BB ratio in 41 1/3 innings this season.

According to the New York Times, David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003. The now-infamous 2003 list of positive tests is slowly trickling out. It's not a huge surprise that Manny tested positive, but Ortiz was not mentioned in the Mitchell Report and has not been linked to performance-enhancers until now. In fact, he told reporters this winter that he felt convicted steroid users should be banned for an entire year. "So what would I do? I won't use it," Ortiz said back in February, "and I'm pretty sure that everybody is on the same page."

Phillies nab Cliff Lee

Phillies acquired LHP Cliff Lee and outfielder Ben Francisco from the Indians for RHP Jason Knapp, RHP Carlos Carrasco, shortstop Jason Donald and catcher Lou Marson. Lee was 7-9 with a 3.14 ERA and three complete games in 22 starts for Cleveland this season. The reigning American League Cy Young Award winner suffered through awful run support this year -- Cleveland scored two runs or fewer in 12 of Lee's 22 starts, including zero runs four times. The good news is he will have no run-support problems in Philadelphia. NL-only owners should be scurrying to put in their waiver claim immediately, lest they forget.

Tillman to make big league debut on Wednesday

Orioles recalled RHP Chris Tillman from Triple-A Norfolk. The team's top pitching prospect is set to make his major league debut against the Royals on Wednesday. He'll likely face an adjustment to handling big league hitters, but considering his 2.70 ERA and 99/26 K/BB ratio in 96 2/3 innings at Triple-A, the 21-year-old is a mandatory add in AL-only leagues and should be worth a look in deeper mixed leagues as well.

Giants nab first baseman Garko from Indians

Giants acquired 1B Ryan Garko from the Indians for LHP Scott Barnes. Garko provides a substantial offensive upgrade over Travis Ishikawa, especially against left-handed hitters. The 28-year-old was batting .285/.362/.464 in Cleveland with 11 home runs and 39 RBI. He's cheap, and under team control through 2012. Garko might not be the answer to San Francisco's offensive struggles, but he'll no doubt help.
